Recently, I had the great pleasure of meeting and styling new it-girl and recent America’s Next Top Model contestant, Ava Capra for a street style-themed photo shoot. The shoot took place in and around Brooklyn when Ava was visiting New York to walk in the Tumbler and Tipsy show for fashion week. Because this was a test shoot and not being done for a particular publication, I decided to take some of my favorites and have a little fun.
Take a look and tell me what you think!

The idea behind this shot was inspired by the Spring 2012 Louis Vuitton Fashion Show that took place on a carousel in Paris. Not only was it one of Marc Jacobs’ most brilliant shows for the iconic brand, but the sheer beauty of the clothes, bags, and decadent detail of the collection will forever be ingrained in my brain. For me, it is very important in fashion to always have references such as this that you can pull from, be inspired by and make your own.
September for the fashion world is like New Years for the rest. It means a change of season, new fall trends, and the anticipation of New York Fashion Week. This is a fun image I took in front of some neighborhood graffiti featuring a classic color combo for Fall–Black and White. What do you think?
